Free and Reduced Pricing for Parks & Rec Services
At the University of Alaska Southeast, recreation - indoors and outdoors - is an important part of our commitment to student success. The City and Borough of Juneau Parks & Recreation shares that commitment and is partnering with UAS to extend free and reduced recreation opportunities to UAS students.
UAS students in 1 credit or more can receive free access to:
- Juneau Pools
- Treadwell Ice Arena
- Dimond Park Field House
- *Bus passes with Capital Transit
*To access free bus passes, visit the UAS Bursar/Student Accounts office in the Novatney Building on the Juneau campus.
Benefit Dates
- Fall 2026: August 20, 2026 through December 14, 2026
- Spring 2027: January 7, 2027 through May 3, 2027
- Summer 2027: TBA
UAS students in 9 credits or more can receive @ Eaglecrest:
- One FREE day ski lift ticket per person, per season at Eaglecrest Ski Area
- College Season Pass-$570
- 10% discount on Eaglecrest food, repair service & retail
- College Daily Lift Ticket-$58
- Learn to Ski/Snowboard Pkg.-$45 (90min. lesson, rentals and lower mountain lift tickets)
- Rental Gear-$30
- Snowbus-$10 round trip, $95 Season Pass

To access your CBJ/UAS partner benefits, you must show proof of current semester enrollment and a photo ID (Whale Card or driver's license) at any Parks & Recreation location or at the main office at 1208 Glacier Avenue. To verify current student semester enrollment, using your smartphone/device, follow these steps:

- View Semester Schedule (this is what you show to CBJ employees)
